Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst level 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT to support ICBM Sustainment in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. This position may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications below.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with business management and project management staff to develop an integrated program measurement baseline to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of the program.
  • Perform Schedule risk analyses and work with the program manager to resolve risky schedules, critical path issues, and network logic conflicts.
  • Perform thorough project analysis through metrics reviews and predictive analysis to enhance cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Utilize Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
  • Participate in month-end Earned Value reporting close activities.

Basic Qualifications

This position may be filled at a Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst level or at a Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst level

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in Business, Aerospace and Defense, or related professional experience; a Master's degree with 1 year; or 6 years with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) may be accepted in lieu of degree (Principal level requires 5 years with a bachelor's; 3 years with a Master's; or 9 years with a HS diploma may be accepted in lieu of degree)
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  • Requires experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry
  • Requires experience with MS Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel (VBA and/or Macros)
  • Requires experience with P6 Primavera, Deltek Open Plan, Deltek Cobra/MPM, Deltek Acumen, or other Schedule Risk Assessment software tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling
  • 2+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
  • Experience with Schedule Analytics and Schedule Risk Assessment tools
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical ability

This position's standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
