WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Assist with Bills of Material (BOM) and routing creation activities to support SAP implementation and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Support data collection, validation, and migration efforts as the organization transitions from its legacy ERP system to SAP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to ensure data accuracy and alignment.
  • Help gather, document, and maintain manufacturing data, process information, and operational requirements.
  • Assist with conducting time studies and collecting production data to establish accurate standard labor hours and routing information.
  • Support the review and analysis of manufacturing processes to identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to the resolution of BOM, routing, and master data issues.
  • Assist with project tracking, documentation, reporting, and SAP implementation activities.
  • Support the creation of process documentation, work instructions, training materials, and project updates.
  • Support additional operations, process improvement, and SAP-related projects as assigned.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU AN EDGE?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Interest in manufacturing operations, ERP systems, process improvement, or supply chain management.
  • Experience with data analysis, process mapping, project management, or continuous improvement initiatives through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, or ERP systems.
  • Experience using data visualization, project management, or collaboration tools is a plus.

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $19 – $27/hour. This rate is based on the intern's current year in their respective university programs. Graduate students may receive a higher rate of pay based on their year in school. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
