Job Title: Monitor Technician

Location: Jersey City Medical Center

Department Name: Telemetry Services

Status: Hourly

Shift: Day

Pay Range: $23.55 - $23.55 per hour

Job Overview:

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. The technician delivers telemetry to in patient units and performs monitor connection/discharge, patient preparation, and teaching related to the monitor.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required

Preferred:

  • Telemetry and/or successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmia course are preferred.

Scheduling Requirements

  • Part time
  • 20 hours
