Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Program Managerto lead and support the development, implementation, and maintenance of a quality assurance programcompliant with NQA-1 standards within the nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of a quality assurance program in accordance with ASME NQA-1 standards.
  • Develop, review, and maintain quality procedures, policies, and work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and industry requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Perform gap analyses and drive closure of identified deficiencies relative to NQA-1 requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality integration.
  • Manage document control systems and configuration management processes.
  • Oversee supplier quality activities, including qualification and audits.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Required
    • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
    • 3โ€“8+ years of experience in a quality engineering or management role
    • Direct experience implementing or maintaining an NQA-1 compliant quality program
    • Strong understanding of quality systems, auditing, and regulatory compliance
    • Experience with document control, records management, and configuration control
    • Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Preferred
    • Experience in nuclear, aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
    • ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CQA)
    • Lead Auditor certification
    • Experience working with suppliers under NQA-1 requirements
    • Knowledge of related standards (ISO 9001, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, etc.)e
