As a Program Manager for Organizational AI Research, you will be the operational engine scaling our AI research capacity. In this 12-month assignment based in Mountain View or New York, you will build scalable research operations from the ground up while acting as a strategic partner to leadership. You will foster high-impact external partnerships with leading academic institutions and internal partners like Google.org, while seamlessly bridging the gap between cross-functional partners, such as research, engineering, and legal teams. Responsibilities
  • Design operational frameworks, managing researcher onboarding logistics, external partner access, legal contracts, playbooks for recurring academic programs, and inbound collaboration triage.
  • Act as a thought partner by establishing business cases and triage processes, defining project success metrics, and building cross-functional teams for prioritized goals.
  • Drive operational relationships with key partners, formalize academic agreements with institutions, manage Google.org initiatives, and lead high-profile research conferences.
  • Architect internal and external insights-sharing strategies, maintain visibility of the lab's mission via internal sites, and collaborate with PR on publication cadences and content calendars.
  • Translate complex research needs into technical requirements, partnering with technical program managers, engineering, and data teams to oversee tooling adoption, data migrations, quality standards, and application testing.
