Trinity Health Of New England is seeking an experienced Pharmacist Manager, Oncology & Infusion Pharmacy Services to lead pharmacy operations, clinical programs, and strategic initiatives across oncology and infusion pharmacy services. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, medication safety, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and patient-centered care while supporting the growth and advancement of oncology and infusion pharmacy services.

The Manager provides oversight of pharmacy staff, programs, and resources while collaborating with executive leadership, physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to improve quality, safety, service, affordability, and outcomes across the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily regional operations of oncology and infusion pharmacy services, ensuring safe, effective, and compliant medication management.

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives, new programs, service line growth opportunities, and process improvement efforts.

  • Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, productivity metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Promote medication safety, clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous performance improvement.

  • Serve as the pharmacy subject matter expert for oncology and infusion services, supporting evidence-based medication use and clinical best practices.

  • Oversee 340B program compliance, managed care utilization strategies, revenue integrity initiatives, and cost-containment efforts.

  • Pharmacist and pharmacy staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, coaching, competency assessment, and performance management.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and executive stakeholders to align operational and clinical priorities.

  • Manage pharmacy procurement, inventory, contract compliance, medication distribution, compounding, and investigational drug activities.

  • Support educational programs, staff development, clinical initiatives, and interdisciplinary patient care activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD, MBA, or other advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum five (5) years of pharmacist experience, including at least three (3) years of pharmacy leadership or management experience.

  • Active Pharmacist licensure in Connecticut, or ability to obtain licensure within 120 days of hire.

  • Oncology, infusion, ambulatory, or hospital pharmacy leadership experience strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success leading teams, managing operations, and driving performance improvement initiatives.

  • Strong financial, analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.

  • Knowledge of oncology pharmacy practice, pharmacy regulations, accreditation standards, medication safety principles, and healthcare operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred.

  • Experience with 340B programs, infusion center operations, and specialty pharmacy services.

  • Experience implementing new clinical programs and service line expansion initiatives.
