Hyson is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead a portfolio of high-impact projects across our Brecksville business. Reporting to the General Manager, this role owns the planning and execution of key initiatives that shape Hyson's manufacturing capability, product roadmap, and customer commitments, spanning capital and equipment projects, new product development, continuous improvement, and high-impact customer programs. The Sr. Program Manager brings structure and accountability to how projects are prioritized, resourced, and delivered, managing dependencies across efforts and driving consistent project management discipline throughout the organization. Success in this role requires strong program and project management fundamentals, the ability to lead across functions without direct authority, and clear communication with stakeholders from the shop floor to the executive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead key projects across the business from charter and scope definition through planning, execution, and close, spanning equipment and capital projects, new product development (NPD), continuous improvement, and high-impact customer initiatives.
- Deliver projects on schedule, on budget, and to defined success criteria, coordinating the appropriate functions, vendors, and hand-offs from concept through launch or commissioning.
- Build and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers; track progress against milestones and proactively resolve issues that threaten scope, cost, or timeline.
- Serve as the central point of coordination across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, and Finance to keep cross-functional work aligned and moving.
- Manage project budgets and capital spend; monitor actuals against plan, forecast to completion, and partner with Finance on capital appropriation and reporting.
- Establish and apply consistent project management standards, tools, and stage-gate discipline; drive accountability for deliverables across project teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and decisions clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including executive and leadership reviews.
- Facilitate project meetings, capture decisions and action items, and hold owners accountable for follow-through.
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks; develop contingency plans and resolve roadblocks to keep projects on track.
- Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of project management practices across the organization.

Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
- Demonstrated success leading capital equipment and/or new product development projects from concept through completion.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget across multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and stage-gate / phase-gate processes.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, engineering drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills; comfortable presenting to executive leadership.
- Proficiency with project management and productivity tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent, plus MS Office).
- Experience in a precision manufacturing or machined components environment preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and product launch processes preferred.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles; certification a plus.
- Experience managing capital appropriation requests and partnering with Finance on capital spend a plus.
- PMP certification (Project Management Institute) or equivalent a plus, but not required.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related technical field required.
- Advanced degree (MBA or technical master's) a plus but not required.
