Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Sentry Platform Technologies team develops the common hardware and software capabilities that power the Sentry product family. These foundational technologies include pan-tilt units, compute, power systems, communications, platform software, and other shared capabilities that enable rapid development of autonomous systems across Counter-Intrusion, Air Defense, Maritime, and future mission areas. By investing in common platform technologies, the team accelerates product development, improves reliability and manufacturability, reduces lifecycle cost, and enables scalable solutions that can be leveraged across multiple products and business lines.

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead development of Sentry Platform Technologies. Rather than owning a single customer-facing product, you'll drive development of the shared hardware and software capabilities that serve as the technical foundation of the Sentry product family. You'll partner closely with Product Management, the Lead Platform Architect, Chief Engineers, and engineering teams across Counter-Intrusion, Air Defense, Maritime, and other business lines to evolve common platform capabilities that support a diverse set of mission requirements. In this role, you'll own technical planning and cross-functional execution from concept through prototype development, system integration, qualification, manufacturing readiness, production, and adoption across multiple products. Success requires balancing the needs of multiple engineering teams and business lines while developing scalable, reusable technologies that accelerate product development across the Sentry portfolio.
Success in this role hinges on three key facets:

  • Platform mindset - understanding how common technologies can be developed once and leveraged across multiple products, reducing duplication while improving scalability and long-term maintainability.
  • Technical execution - driving complex hardware and software development efforts from concept through production while managing technical risk, dependencies, and cross-functional execution.
  • Cross-functional leadership - partnering across Product Management, Platform Architecture, Engineering, Manufacturing, and business line leadership to align shared technology investments with evolving mission needs.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead technical execution for shared Sentry platform technologies, including pan-tilt units, compute, power systems, communications, platform software, and other foundational hardware and software capabilities.
  • Drive development from concept through prototype builds, integration, validation, qualification, manufacturing readiness, production, and adoption across multiple Sentry products.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, the Lead Platform Architect, Chief Engineers, and business line stakeholders to align shared platform capabilities with product roadmaps and mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with Fixed Site Systems and Maneuver Systems TPMs to synchronize platform roadmaps with integrated product milestones.
  • Coordinate execution across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Reliability, Test, Product Management, and Platform Architecture teams.
  • Drive standardization, modularity, and reuse of common technologies across the Sentry product family.
  • Identify technical and programmatic risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and drive alignment across engineering organizations.
  • Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to mature platform technologies for scalable production and long-term sustainment.
  • Communicate roadmap status, technical decisions, program health, risks, and dependencies to engineering and executive leadership.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 8-10+ years leading complex hardware and/or software product development programs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering sophisticated hardware, software, or electromechanical technologies from concept through production.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration, platform development, validation, manufacturing readiness, and production ramp.
  • Experience leading highly cross-functional engineering efforts spanning multiple technical disciplines.
  • Proven ability to drive execution and influence technical decisions across organizations without direct management authority.
  • Experience partnering with suppliers, manufacturing organizations, and engineering leadership throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience developing autonomous systems, robotics, aerospace, defense systems, automotive platforms, industrial equipment, or other complex electromechanical products.
  • Experience leading development of shared hardware or software platforms supporting multiple products.
  • Experience with compute platforms, power systems, communications, sensing technologies, platform software, or other foundational system capabilities.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFA, qualification testing, supplier readiness, reliability engineering, and manufacturing scale-up.
  • Experience supporting multiple product lines through common technology development.
