Job description

YC Foundation is seeking a highly motivated Grant Writer & Program Manager to lead fundraising through grants while managing and expanding our nonprofit programs. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a measurable community impact and has experience securing government, corporate, and foundation funding.


The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the Foundation grow its programs throughout the Greater Houston area and beyond.


Key Responsibilities

Grant Writing & Fundraising

  • Research and identify local, state, federal, corporate, and foundation grant opportunities.
  • Prepare compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and funding applications.
  • Manage grant submission calendars and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Develop grant budgets and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare grant reports and maintain compliance with funding requirements.
  • Build relationships with grant makers and funding partners.

Program Management

  • Coordinate and oversee Foundation programs from planning through implementation.
  • Monitor program performance and measure outcomes.
  • Work closely with community partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain program documentation, reporting, and compliance.
  • Develop new initiatives aligned with the Foundation's mission.
  • Assist with community outreach and partnership development.

Strategic Development

  • Identify opportunities for organizational growth.
