Job description

Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager. Relocation assistance offered.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
Eaton is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for the Power Electronics (PE) and Battery Center of Excellence (CoE) team located in Raleigh, NC.
Eaton's PE-Battery CoE accelerates the company's growth through the development of new technology, platforms and common hardware building blocks that are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable, as well as standardized design methodologies that can be adopted by multiple business units, which provide a foundation for our business to more rapidly develop innovative products.
The Senior Technical Program Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans that capture key technical requirements, deliverables, tasks, milestones, status, and resource allocation. In addition, this role builds strong cross-functional relationships and drives effective collaboration and communication across business units and with key stakeholders. You'll also provide leadership and oversight to a team of Technical Program Managers, ensuring consistent execution and alignment across programs. Up to 15% travel.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a solid engineering background with hands-on development experience, and a proven track record of successful project delivery. They bring strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, outlining key technical requirements, tasks, deliverables, status, and resource allocation
• Lead projects to achieve defined goals and objectives
• Track and report project performance, set measurable goals, and promote a results-driven culture.
• Create and maintain project reports and presentations
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
• Lead or contribute to technical discussions, clearly explaining decisions and benefits to customers, engineers, and leadership.
• Leads and directs a team of program managers to achieve stated goals and objectives.
• Promote engineering excellence across the PE CoE and business unit teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
-Minimum of 8 years of experience managing large, cross-functional engineering projects from concept to delivery.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience in team leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years of experience working with Excel scripting and PowerBI.
-Strong understanding of engineering processes like DFSS, with proven hands-on application.
-Successfully managed multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
-Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences across business units.
-Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
-Skilled in creating impactful presentations, especially using PowerPoint.
-Experienced in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M language).
-Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and data visualization.
-Certified in Design for Six Sigma
