Job description

Position Summary:

The Program Manager reports directly to the Director of Program Management and is responsible for one or more simultaneous products that are under development for customers. The Program Manager may perform a variety of tasks in accordance with their training, experience, and skill.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

·       Chair customer focus team meetings to assign actions and drive customer requirements within manufacturing.

·       Overall responsible for leadership of all phases of management for the existing customer; includes interfacing with all internal partners and staff to ensure customer satisfaction.

·       Coordinate the efforts of cross-functional departments as required to ensure that programs are run within the requirements of the customer needs.

·       Monitor all relevant department metrics and KPI’s and take associated actions where necessary.

·       Suggest and lead/participate in improvement and development measures to reduce costs gain efficiencies for all areas of responsibility.

·       Serves as the main interface between multiple manufacturing sites and customer to drive project plans to schedule and cost targets.

·       Serve as site SAP super user for area of responsibility.

·       Provides guidance and recommendations to business unit management in relation to interpretation of relevant regulations, including applicable trade reference programs, and the integration of regulatory requirements into business plans and processes.

·       Interacts with internal and external customers and colleagues, and other functional areas.

·       Supports the Quality Management system including conformance to ISO based registrations and controls for the facility business plan based upon targeted market sectors.

·       Manages conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, as well as partners with business executives and operations leaders in order to develop appropriate solutions.

·       Reviews and supporting negotiations on terms and conditions for completing Contracts and Agreements to help establish strategic customer partnerships.

·       Prepares activity reports and other data input as required

·       Manages and conducts customer Quarterly Business Review (QBR).

·       Manages customer expectation and serve as Voice Of Customer (VOC) to factory.

·       Manage and maintain account profitability.

·       Manage customer Excess and Obsolete (E&O) as well as Accounts Receivable (A/R).

·       Backlog management.

·       Accurately publish revenue projection.

These tasks are performed in accordance with company standard operating procedures, professional trainings, customer requirements, and individual experience.

Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:

·       7 years minimum experience in a contract manufacturing or high-technology company, 10 years experience preferred.

·       Requires a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a technical, business, or financial discipline

·       Previous program management experience required.

·       Must be self-directed, dependable, and motivated with excellent relationship and time management skills.

·       Establishing and supporting Lean, Six Sigma, and/or other related processes for continuous improvement of critical operational metrics across key functions.

·       CPI, CRM or equivalent experience

·       Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to meet stated customer initiated deadlines.

·       Proficient with PC-based software including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

·       Strong, effective organizational skills required; detail and data oriented; ability to multitask

·       Possess excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form

·       Ability to read, and interpret engineering instructions, schematics, technical procedures, and various reports

·       Ability to keep accurate documentation

·       Possess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information

·       Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees;

·       Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

·       Available to work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.  Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors, and any other person or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and goals.

·       This may include odd hour teleconferences with global facilities.

Travel:

The program manager is expected to travel to customer and supplier sites as needed. There is a potential for international travel to other Zollner facilities. Percentage of travel not to exceed 25%
