Job description

GreenXT is seeking a Program Manager to support our Navy customer. This position will be supporting the AN/USQ-82(V) Program. The AN/USQ-82(V) is the family of mission-critical shipboard networks used to transfer data and messages between systems such as the DDG 51 Machinery Control System (MCS) and Integrated Bridge and Navigation System (IBNS) on US Navy ship classes (DDG 51, etc.), as well as on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) ships.

Responsibilities:
  • Acts as the Program Manager for the AN/USQ-82(V) Program that includes all the business and technical areas included on the DDG 51 Class, LHA Class, Aegis Ashore, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, risk, and technical performance for all efforts on the contract
  • Responsible for resource planning and hiring/staffing actions for the contract
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Government customer
  • Brief program status to include financial updates, technical status, and future planning
Requirements:
  • Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain this clearance upon position acceptance) is required for this position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering, Science, or Business Management areas
  • 10 years of technical program management experience, with 7+ of those years in the DoD/DoN space
  • Familiarity with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) procedures and processes
  • DoD/DoN Procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); DoD/DoN Contracting experience
  • Familiar with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Proficient technical writing ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Navy Organizations preferred
  • Ability to travel
  • Work location can by hybrid but candidate needs to be in the Washington DC area to attend in-person meetings at the Washington Navy Yard
  • Preferred:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA certification for Program Management Level III
    • Experience with the AN/USQ-82(V) family of shipboard networks or an equivalent shipboard/afloat network system program
