Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized college intern to support our Contract Management team. Please note that the pay rate for this summer internship will be $20/hr.

The intern will assist IFAS with day-to-day contract administration activities, perform accurate data entry, and explore opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence within contract management processes. This role is ideal for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in government contracting and contract management.

Key responsibilities include:

โ€ข Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized contract and subcontract files in accordance with company policies and applicable government regulations.

โ€ข Assist in reviewing contracts and subcontracts to identify key terms, conditions, risks, and compliance requirements.

โ€ข Support subcontract administration activities, including subcontractor onboarding documentation, modifications, and closeout efforts.

โ€ข Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as finance, procurement, and program management to ensure subcontract and contract data is accurate, current, and aligned across systems.

โ€ข Track subcontractor compliance requirements, including certifications, representations, and reporting obligations.

โ€ข Participate in internal meetings and support the team through notetaking, documentation, and action item tracking.

โ€ข Draft routine correspondence, summaries, and internal memoranda related to contract and subcontract actions.

โ€ข Assist with the preparation of contract briefings, compliance reports, and status updates for internal stakeholders.

โ€ข Conduct research and assist with identifying potential AI-driven efficiencies and enhancements within contract management processes.

โ€ข Research new contracting opportunities through SAM.gov, GovWin, agency websites, or other internal tools

โ€ข Maintain and update the business development pipeline, tracking key status updates and next steps

โ€ข Support capture efforts, including competitor research, customer profiling, etc...

โ€ข Conduct market and agency research on departments and programs aligned to growth priorities

Skills:

โ€ข Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

โ€ข Proficient typing and data entry skills, with the ability to manage and update records efficiently.

โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to organize, track, and analyze data.

โ€ข Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting correspondence and supporting internal documentation.

โ€ข Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

โ€ข Willingness to learn and adapt, with an interest in contract management, compliance requirements, and process improvement.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, preferably in a business, technology, or related field. Must have completed at least 30 credit hours to date. Previous experience with data entry or contract management is a plus.
