The Opportunity
As an Asset Management intern at Anchor, you will support the Asset Management team in the execution of business plans for a portfolio of medical office real estate investments. This role provides hands on exposure to institutional asset management, including long term value creation through leasing, financial performance monitoring, and due diligence activities. You will gain direct insight into how asset management decisions impact investment performance and how work product is prepared for internal leadership, lenders, and institutional investors.
Our ownership-mentality mindset is built upon the assumption that our Asset Managers may have the opportunity to present, explain, and defend their work product to our institutional clients โ€“ and that the clientโ€™s response to the timeliness, quality, thoroughness, format, and conclusions of the employeeโ€™s work product will form their impression of Anchor Health Properties.
This internship is an on-site opportunity and the option to work remotely is not available.
How youโ€™ll contribute:
  • Assist in the analysis and monitoring of asset operating strategies to support value creation initiatives across the portfolio per the business plan.
  • Support lease administration and renewal efforts by tracking expirations, preparing lease abstracts, and assisting with renewal analyses.
  • Assist in monitoring vacant space and leasing activity, including compiling market data and coordinating with internal and third party leasing brokers.
  • Help prepare periodic asset management reports and presentation materials for internal stakeholders.
  • Audit asset marketing material listings on third party platforms for availability and correctness
  • Participate in due diligence activities, including reviewing financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, and market research.
  • Work with in house and third-party leasing personnel to maximize building occupancy across the portfolio.
  • Work with in house and third-party construction managers to determine project capital and deferred maintenance needs and timing
  • Support disposition efforts for regional assets on an as needed basis in the future, inclusive of marketing materials and sale processes.

  • Must have strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in asset management, finance, or healthcare real estate.
  • Currently pursuing or recently obtained a degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field.
  • Prior internship or coursework exposure to real estate, finance, or investments is a plus, but not required.
