Summary - This internship supports the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the Elev X! Ignite startup accelerator program. The intern will contribute to program operations, process optimization, startup support, operational analysis, and cross-functional coordination. This position offers hands-on experience in venture incubation, startup ecosystem operations, and project management while helping improve the efficiency, scalability, and founder experience of NEC X's accelerator programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities -

50% - Program Operations & Startup Support

  • Manage program operations, including monitoring activities and tracking overall program progress.
  • Coordinate founder communications, onboarding, and ongoing program support.
  • Schedule and coordinate program sessions and related logistics.
  • Coordinate program schedules, documentation, meeting logistics, and internal communications.
  • Support the day-to-day execution of the Elev X! Ignite accelerator program.

25% - Process Optimization & Operational Analysis

  • Analyze program and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with KPI tracking, reporting, dashboard development, and operational analysis.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Research and recommend best practices, tools, and automation opportunities to enhance program operations.

15% - Administrative & Event Support

  • Contribute to internal documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge management.
  • Support the planning and execution of startup events, workshops, pitch sessions, and founder engagement activities.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide operational support across cross-functional projects.

10% - Continuous Improvement

  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve recruitment, evaluation, founder experience, and overall program operations.
  • Recommend new tools, workflows, and process improvements to enhance operational excellence.
  • Support special projects focused on organizational efficiency and program innovation.

Prerequisites -

Education:

Currently enrolled in a graduate program in Project Management, Business, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

Experience in project coordination, operations, startup support, consulting, student leadership, or related activities is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, etc:

Not required

Specialized Knowledge and Skills -

Language Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Japanese language skills are a plus but not required

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to analyze operational data using spreadsheets and reporting tools.

Reasoning Skills:

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify process improvements and support structured decision-making.

Computer and/or Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Notion, including databases and documentation
  • Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams)
  • Experience using scheduling tools such as Calendly
  • Experience with document management platforms such as Box or DocSend
  • Experience with CRM systems, workflow automation tools, Airtable, or dashboard/reporting tools is a plus
