Job description

Position Summary

Vitron Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead complex aerospace customer programs from contract award through production and delivery. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and is responsible for ensuring program success by coordinating cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive aerospace manufacturing experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and delivering programs on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Lead assigned aerospace customer programs throughout the entire program lifecycle.
    • Serve as the primary customer liaison, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet program objectives, schedules, quality requirements, and financial goals.
    • Develop, maintain, and communicate integrated program schedules and project plans.
    • Monitor program performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution.
    • Lead internal program reviews, production status meetings, and customer meetings.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve technical and production challenges.
    • Negotiate contracts, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other business agreements.
    • Support proposal development, contract review, and program startup activities.
    • Monitor inventory, forecasting, material availability, and supplier performance to support production schedules.
    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and program metrics.
    • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and company quality management systems.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
    • Manage program financial performance, including budgets, cost tracking, and profitability.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of 7–10 years of Program or Project Management experience within aerospace manufacturing.
    • Demonstrated success managing complex customer programs in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and production planning.
    • Experience managing customer expectations, schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
    • Proven ability to negotiate contracts and supplier agreements.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers, suppliers, executives, and technical teams.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project (or equivalent project management software).
    • Experience working within AS9100 or other aerospace quality management systems is highly preferred.
    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
    • Equivalent combination of education and relevant aerospace manufacturing experience will be considered.
    • PMP certification is a plus.
    Physical Requirements
    • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
    • Must possess close visual acuity for reviewing documents and computer work.
    • May be exposed to manufacturing conditions including noise, dust, odors, and fumes while on the production floor.
