Role Overview

PG&E is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Portfolio Manager to support the coordination and management of multiple large-scale strategic initiatives (e.g., Propel, Elevate, cloud migration, data transformation, and architectural alignment etc).
This role will focus on establishing an integrated, enterprise-level view across programs by developing a “forward schedule of change”, enabling leadership to proactively manage risks, dependencies, and cross-program impacts. The position is critical to building a new integrated planning and management function and driving more informed, forward-looking decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Planning & Integration

  • Develop and maintain a forward schedule of change across major enterprise programs
  • Integrate and align multiple program schedules into a single, cohesive enterprise view
  • Identify and map interdependencies, sequencing, and potential conflicts across programs

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with program managers, PMOs, and leadership teams across initiatives
  • Facilitate discussions to uncover hidden dependencies and risks beyond high-level milestones
  • Drive alignment across business and technology stakeholders

Executive Reporting & Insights

  • Translate integrated plans and risk insights into actionable updates for CIO-level leadership
  • Support weekly operating reviews with forward-looking insights, not just status reporting
  • Provide recommendations on resource allocation and prioritization

Tooling & Data Consolidation

  • Consolidate schedules from multiple tools into a unified structure (e.g., MS Project)
  • Standardize planning artifacts and reporting approaches across programs
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability for executive decision-making

Program Governance & Transformation

  • Help establish and operationalize an integrated planning and governance function
  • Shift the organization from reactive reporting to proactive planning and decision-making
  • Define best practices for enterprise program integration and portfolio management

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in program, portfolio, or enterprise project management
  • Proven experience managing or integrating large-scale, cross-functional programs
  • Strong experience with enterprise planning, dependency mapping, and risk management
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project or similar planning tools
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with executive leadership (CIO-level)
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in utilities or regulated industries
  • Background in enterprise PMO, portfolio management, or transformation initiatives
  • Experience working across programs such as cloud migration, data platforms, or large IT transformations

Key Success Factors

  • Ability to create a clear, integrated enterprise view across programs
  • Strong stakeholder influence and ability to drive alignment without direct authority
  • Proactive identification and mitigation of risks before they impact delivery
  • Delivery of actionable insights that improve executive decision-making
