Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee-owned company, is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to serve as a key member of the Tactical Applications Business Area within the Advanced Systems Business Unit, supporting the successful execution of Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs throughout the program lifecycle. This role works closely with Program Managers, Engineering, Business Development, Contracts, Finance, and Customers to ensure technical, operational, and business objectives remain aligned from opportunity development through program execution and delivery. The successful candidate will assist teammates with planning, execution, customer engagement, contractual deliverables, and risk management while serving as a cross-functional integrator that enables efficient communication and collaboration across the organization. This position requires strong organizational skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

What are the primary responsibilities in the Deputy Program Manager position?

  • Lead and support all phases of the program lifecycle, from opportunity transition through execution, delivery, and closeout.
  • Integrate cross-functional teams to align engineering, operations, contracts, finance, and customer objectives for successful program execution.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, schedules, milestones, and performance metrics to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Coordinate customer engagements, technical reviews, executive briefings, and contractual deliverables, including CDRL management.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks while driving issue resolution and continuous process improvement.
  • Serve as the primary interface between technical teams and program leadership, ensuring mission requirements remain aligned with execution strategies.
  • Drive operational excellence through effective communication, performance reporting, and adoption of digital and AI-enabled tools that improve collaboration and productivity.


What required background will make you successful?

  • TS/SCI security clearance
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Program Management, Intelligence Studies, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in signals intelligence, electronic warfare, or related technical analysis field
  • Program management or engineering integration experience in a program office.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred).


Preferred skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) to Government Stakeholders.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certification.

Where is the position located?

This position is located at our Tucson, Arizona.

*The likely salary range for this position is $133,000 to $163,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
