Job Overview
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Program Officer to lead and oversee the development, implementation, and management of RADIUS' services. This pivotal role requires a passionate leader dedicated to advancing services for youth and families in the juvenile justice system. The Chief Program Officer will drive program excellence, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and cultivate a team committed to impactful service delivery. This position is responsible for the leadership and management of the comprehensive array of RADIUS programs, staff, and services provided and creating continuity in service across the organization. The Chief Program Officer will execute policies developed in consultation with the President and CEO with respect to governance, financials, human resources, fund development, risk management, client rights, programs and services, and performance and quality improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for staff management including interviewing, hiring, and training program staff for continued growth and development; planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Oversee and execute compliance with state licensing and national accreditation activities.
  • Plan the delivery of the overall programs to include the initiation and implementation of all new program systems while ensuring alignment with our mission and vision of RADIUS.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all programs and program budgets.
  • Analyze internal reports to evaluate program effectiveness using an outcomes-based approach.
  • Ensure implementation of agency wide quality assurance systems and processes.
  • Ensure coordination and collaboration across program areas and healthcare partnerships.
  • Develop comprehensive leadership development and supervision/coaching plan for program leaders.
  • Respond promptly to after-hours calls, emergencies, and significant program concerns, providing guidance and direction to leadership and staff as needed.
  • Assess youth for safety concerns, and suicidal and homicidal ideations.
  • Integrate clinical and non-clinical service delivery to ensure comprehensive services are provided to youth and families.
  • Create and implement program policies, develop departmental procedures, educational materials, and operational effectiveness reports.
  • Provide strategic oversight of program partnerships by cultivating, managing, and evaluating relationships with community partners, referral sources, healthcare providers, educational institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen service delivery, improve outcomes for youth and families, and advance RADIUS's strategic priorities.
  • Responsible for training, educating, and ensuring competency of staff on all evidence-based practices and departmental procedures and operations.
Responsibilities
  • Master’s in social work, psychology, education, public administration, criminal justice or related field.
  • LIMHP required.
  • 7 years’ experience in broad programmatic role delivering services to juvenile justice and/or child welfare populations
  • At least 5 years of related leadership experience
  • 3 years’ experience developing and implementing new programs
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • CPR required
  • Hours of Work: Expect to work 40 hour a week minimum.
  • Travel: Some travel required.
  • Exposure: The exposure characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. For example, while performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be exposed to bloodborne and other hazardous chemicals. Finally, the noise level in the work environment can be loud. In all cases personal protective equipment will be provided to the employee in combination with adequate ventilation and other engineering controls to minimize the risk of exposure or other hazardous occurrence.
