Car Dealership Finance Manager (F&I Manager) maximizes dealership profitability by selling financing, insurance, and aftermarket products while securing customer loans. Key duties include structuring deals, maintaining lender relationships, ensuring regulatory compliance, and finalizing legal paperwork. It is a high-volume, commission-driven role.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Finance and Insurance (F&I) Sales: Sell extended warranties, service contracts, GAP insurance, and maintenance programs to customers.
  • Loan Structuring: Analyze credit applications, calculate payment options, and structure deals with lending institutions to maximize approval rates.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and execute final sales/lease documents, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., Truth in Lending Act).
