Job Description
The Financial Analyst will provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes within the organization. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, conducting forecasts, budgeting, and supporting strategic planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting amp; Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement by comparing actual results to forecasts and budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting amp; Forecasting:
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Work with department heads to track performance against budget and suggest corrective actions when necessary.
  • Analyze financial trends and project future financial performance based on historical data and market conditions.
  • Data Analysis amp; Financial Modeling:
  • Build and maintain financial models to analyze business performance and support decision-making.
  • Conduct financial analysis for new business initiatives, capital expenditures, and investment projects.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of business decisions, such as expansions, cost-cutting initiatives, or changes in product lines.
  • Cost Management amp; Efficiency:
  • Actual to Theoretical Food Cost
  • Labor Management
  • Monitor expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
  • Provide insights on cost structure and help management control costs across various departments.
  • Financial Planning Support:
  • Provide decision support and business insights related to capital investments, financing decisions, and major expenditures.

  • Risk Assessment amp; Compliance:
  • Assist in risk assessments related to financial exposure, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure that financial operations comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis amp; Special Projects:
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare special reports for senior management as requested.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and identify ways to streamline financial operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, financial modeling) and financial reporting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large sets of financial data.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and business operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Desirable:

  • CPA, CFA, or similar professional certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and other financial software tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
