Program Finance Manager information

What is a program finance manager?

Program Finance Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of specific programs or projects within an organization. They manage budgets, monitor expenditures, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making. Their role often involves collaborating with program managers and other departments to ensure that financial resources are used effectively and align with organizational goals.

How does a program finance manager typically collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure financial targets are met?

Program Finance Managers work closely with project managers, department leads, and senior leadership to monitor budgets, forecast expenditures, and track financial performance against program goals. They regularly participate in cross-functional meetings to provide financial insights, address variances, and recommend corrective actions. This collaborative approach ensures that both financial and operational objectives are aligned, helping to proactively resolve issues that could impact program success.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a program finance manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Program Finance Manager, you need strong financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting skills, typically supported by a degree in finance, accounting, or business and relevant experience. Proficiency with financial management software (such as SAP or Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and sometimes certifications like CPA or CFA are highly valued. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical thinking help you effectively coordinate with program teams and stakeholders. These skills are crucial for ensuring accurate financial planning, compliance, and the successful financial execution of programs.

Job description

Description

Maui, HI | Honolulu, HI | Hawaii | Finance Manager | F&I | Finance & Insurance | Menu selling | Compliance | Any brand welcome | Pipeline | Multiple locations | Veterans encouraged to apply | $72,000 - $180,000/yr OTE

This is a general application for Finance Manager openings across Swickard's Maui and Honolulu area dealerships. There is no specific position available at this time. Qualified candidates will be contacted as opportunities arise.

IS THIS YOU?

You're an experienced Finance Manager with a strong PVR, a clean compliance record, and a menu presentation that earns guest trust rather than resistance

You operate with integrity -- your deals are structured honestly, your lender relationships are solid, and your documentation is complete and fundable every time

You're open to what's next and want to be in conversation with a growing Hawaii automotive group before a specific opening arises

WHO WE ARE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

We operate dealerships across Maui and Honolulu serving island communities where guest relationships are everything -- and the finance office is no exception. When Finance Manager openings arise at any of our Hawaii stores, we want qualified candidates ready to move. If you're an experienced F&I professional in or open to the Hawaii market, we'd like to start the conversation now.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Present and close finance, lease, and protection products using a consultative, menu-based approach that reflects Swickard's hospitality-first standard

Structure deals accurately and efficiently -- balancing strong PVR with lender compliance and a guest experience that earns long-term loyalty

Manage lender relationships across a diverse lending portfolio -- ensuring deal flow, funding speed, and lender mix are optimized

Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and dealership regulatory requirements -- Regulation Z, TILA, FCRA, and applicable Hawaii state requirements

Partner with the sales team to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless transition to the finance office

Maintain deal documentation to the highest standard -- every deal fundable, every file complete

Achieve penetration and PVR targets across VSC, GAP, maintenance, and appearance products

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

2+ years of Finance Manager experience at a franchised dealership -- required

Any brand background considered -- luxury, import, and domestic F&I experience all valued across our Hawaii portfolio

Proven PVR performance and consistent product penetration across a full menu

Strong knowledge of lender programs, finance and lease structures, and compliance requirements

Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred

High integrity and zero tolerance for compliance shortcuts -- clean deals, clean files, every time

Polished, professional communicator -- Hawaii island guests are loyal and they remember the finance experience just as much as the sales experience

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

WHAT WE OFFER

OTE of $72,000 - $180,000/yr -- specific to each store and opening

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

Paid time off and paid holidays

Career growth -- strong Finance Managers at Swickard grow into F&I director and multi-store finance leadership roles

Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

The opportunity to build a high-earning finance career in one of the most unique automotive markets in the country

WHY SWICKARD AUTO GROUP -- MAUI & HONOLULU

Island guests are among the most loyal in the country -- when they trust the finance office, they return for every vehicle purchase and send their family and friends. The F&I manager who earns that trust builds real, lasting earning potential

Maui and Honolulu are tight-knit communities where your professional reputation compounds quickly -- integrity in the finance office here has a longer tail than almost any mainland market

Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

A hospitality-first culture that aligns naturally with Hawaii's values -- the finance office should feel like a continuation of the guest experience, not a departure from it

Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- apply in the finance office just as much as on the showroom floor

Leadership that supports a clean, compliant, high-performing finance operation and recognizes the F&I managers who build it

This isn't a posting for a role that's open today -- it's an invitation to connect. We operate dealerships across Maui and Honolulu and we proactively build relationships with Finance Manager-caliber professionals so that when an opening arises, we're ready to move. If you're open to a conversation about what's possible in Hawaii with Swickard -- we'd like to hear from you.ย
