Job description

As the Program Finance Manager, your responsibilities include overall quality and timely submittal of contract financial deliverables, internal financial reporting and analysis, program forecasting and ensuring audit readiness across all aspects of the program. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Acts as the key resource on program financial responsibilities and matters.
* Provides support to various financial management program actions and activities, monitoring and oversight, meetings, funds tracking, milestone planning, briefing preparation, staff coordination, cost risk management, and decision documents preparation.
* Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure that contractual cost and schedule objectives are met.
* Monitors the status of financial accounts, ensuring that program charges accurately reflect the correct labor hours and rates, subcontractor costs and other direct costs (ODCs).
* Performs analysis of budgets and schedules needed to meet contractual/project requirements for programs.
* Monitors spending versus plan and notifies management promptly of any over runs/under runs.
* Prepares financial reports and forecasts to provide to ensure effective management.
* Interfaces with management, responding to their requests for financial data.
* Validates and ensures invoices are submitted timely.
* Recommends, develops and implements solutions to improve financial management and analysis capabilities. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's dgree in finance, accounting, business administration, or business management.
* Experience supporting in Intelligence Community (IC) programs.
* Greater than six (6) years of relevant experience with DoD or IC financial processes, procedures and functions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
* Basic knowledge of FAR/DFAR and DCAA requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to present financial status/issues to leadership and customers.
* Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Proficient with Excel in the use of Filters, Pivot Tables, Formulas; developing Excel Macros and database solutions is desirable.
* Experience supporting large National Security programs
