BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Program Finance (Program Control) Analyst to join the Market Expansion product area under the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) product line within the Precision Strike and Sensing Solutions (PS) business area of Electronic Systems sector.
In this role, the selected individual will support the Market Expansion product area for both development and production programs in the execution of a growing portfolio of programs. This position allows for the blend of challenging program work with direct, individualized mentorship and support, setting the stage for personal growth and professional success.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working on-site at our Huntsville, AL site, and remotely. To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must currently reside within a reasonable daily commute of our Huntsville, AL offices, or must be willing to relocate to the area at their own expense.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support program control activities for a rapidly growing portfolio of development and production programs with associated internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Act as a full business partner to the Market Expansion development and production program teams
  • Contribute to the establishment of accurate program financial forecasts, including the Operating Plan, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and the long-term Integrated Business Plan (IBP)
  • Provide financial data and analysis enabling timely business decision-making
  • Influence favorable program execution via robust baseline management, application of EVMS principles, developing realistic Estimate at Completions (EACs), and actively reporting risks and opportunities
  • Ensure compliance to internal controls while seeking out opportunities for continuous improvement

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related degree / equivalent experience; 2+ years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools
  • Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional work teams
  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, ProPricer, and Cobra
  • Experience with project forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense environment
  • Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines
  • Understanding and knowledge industry practices and standards as well as company policies
  • Currently holding a Secret clearance is preferred, but not required
