Job description

Overview

The Program Director/Program Manager will oversee the Wound Care Program, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, financial responsibility, quality improvement, community education, and strong client relationships with hospital partners. The successful candidate will focus on strategic growth and effective staff management to deliver high‑quality wound care services.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
  • Manage Center Operations (20%)

    Lead day‑to‑day clinic and wound continuum operations, assess workflows, and implement process improvements. Ensure staff effectiveness, resource availability, and clear communication across clinical and non‑clinical teams.

  • Financial Management (10%)

    Oversee the revenue cycle, stay current on reimbursement changes, review financial reports, identify trends, and develop strategies to maintain fiscal responsibility. Coordinate cost management and present results to hospital leadership.

  • Community Education / Marketing (40%)

    Collaborate with hospital and marketing departments to develop strategic plans that increase patient referrals. Build relationships with key physicians, maintain a referral database, and provide educational marketing materials. Monitor referral goals and report progress.

  • Quality / Performance Improvement (10%)

    Implement and manage continuous improvement programs, meet quality indicators, integrate with hospital PIP initiatives, and participate in committees. Ensure patient safety guidelines are followed and maintain compliance documentation.

  • Manage Relationships (15%)

    Maintain strong relationships with hospital clients, understand strategic goals, and align program objectives accordingly. Engage with hospital staff, participate in meetings, and deliver excellent customer service.

  • Perform Other Duties as Required

    Support additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet program goals.

Required Education, Experience and Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field plus 1 year of marketing or community education experience.
  • Associate’s degree in a related field plus 2 or more years of marketing or community education experience.
  • High school diploma plus 4 or more years of marketing or community education experience.
  • Experience in management is preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent customer service, follow‑up, and organizational skills.
  • Time‑management and multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Leadership, teaching, relationship‑building, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with Healogics and hospital management.
  • Budget and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Salary

Annual salary range: $88,400.00 – $116,400.00, based on qualifications, experience, geography, and operational needs.
