Job description

Job Duties: The CWS OHAN Program Manager is to provide leadership, supervision, support, and project management assistance within the Child Welfare Services Safety Office including program implementation and evaluation, data analysis, and CQI for Out of Home Investigations Unit (OHAN) by promoting adherence to DSS policies and procedures, agency mission, and GPS Practice Model. Direct, monitor, and provide oversight of statewide Out of Home Abuse and Neglect (OHAN) to assess the quality of services provided. Oversee and manage the staff that administrates the OHAN cases.

Utilize data (qualitative and quantitative) to conduct operational assessment of offices and directs, monitors and provides oversight of statewide OHAN agency. Provide direction in terms of policy, procedure, planning objectives and programs administration. Assure OHAN program meets appropriate local, state and federal requirements.

Direct efforts to establish and maintain relationships with both local and state agencies. Manage the infrastructure to support the project to include staff and program components in coordination with child welfare staff, private providers and the inter- agency community. Provide program objectives and goals and ensure compliance program objectives.

Conduct EPMS planning stage and evaluation for direct reports, participate in interview and selection process of employees for vacant positions and manage substandard job performance, disciplinary actions, and other personnel issues as required. Maintains child welfare certification. Completes 20 hours of training yearly to include certifications that are required yearly.

Understands the impact of trauma on families and secondary trauma on child welfare staff and applies principles to support families and staff.

Minimum and Additional Requirements A Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration. A Master's Degree and two (2) years of experience in any combination of social work, management, business administration, administrative services or public administration.
