Special Projects Program Office Representative

The EB Special Projects Program Office develops unique one-of-a-kind platforms and capabilities for submarines. Our efforts include concept development of new platforms, design/integration of new systems/capabilities, maintenance/upgrades of existing systems, and mission integration support for operational platforms.

The capabilities developed by the Special Projects team include but are not limited to: ROVs, UUVs, payload handling systems, mission electronics, navigation systems, sensors, sonar systems, etc. for submarine platforms.

The Program Representative position will be a combination of program management and technical oversight. This position requires a highly motivated self-starter who can operate with minimal supervision and possesses strong interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:

    Management and execution of program contractual requirements and objectives that include design and engineering performance, component development and vendor performance, testing and prototype development and execution, and financial management to support program milestones.
  • Providing program direction regarding performing to technical requirements, estimating development efforts with engineering, identifying and mitigating risks in design.
  • Manage cross-disciplines technical teams and stakeholders driving product delivery.
  • Coordinate with customer stakeholders with respect to program execution, requirements, and compliance.
  • Creating and analyzing effective performance metrics to track program level progress in technical, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Collaborate across multiple engineering and design departments consisting of Electric Boat, subcontractors, and government to resolve programmatic and technical issues.
  • Development of proposals in response to government request for proposals
  • Management and technical oversite of subcontractors
  • Mission integration support of operational platforms

This position requires significant interactions with EB Engineering/Design, ILS, Contracts, Purchasing, Subcontractors, and NAVSEA Customers. It requires the ability to manage and lead efforts for diverse, multi-discipline tasks.


Some travel is required (1 trip/month)

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Active Secret clearance and must be able and willing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • 1+ years of experience working in Design, Engineering, Operations, Planning, Finance, Contracts

Preferred:

  • Experience with ROV/UUV and related systems
  • Experience working with NAVSEA, PMS450, PMS397, and/or PMS394
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
