Job Description:

An Operations Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational priorities for their assigned program(s). This work is critical to Operations to support growth and assure on time delivery and improved turnaround times for the customer. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. The Operations Program Manager should be motivated to optimize productivity and program success from inception to completion. Point-of-Contact to assigned Program Managers to ensure synergy within Operations and Program Office. 

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate all functional (supply chain management, production, quality, test, finance, and engineering) tasks to ensure project/program objectives are achieved.
  • Responsible for assuring that the cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives are successfully achieved on all assigned programs.
  • Oversee preparation of status reports and conduct reviews on assigned programs with all department representatives.
  • Manage assignment of priorities with the functional departments.
  • Ensure overall process compliance across all Operations functional areas.
  • Foster a data driven culture and educate key partners on effective program planning, program management and execution. 
  • Support metrics and reporting rhythms to drive strategy execution and consistently achieve objectives and key results. 
  • Lead continuous improvement including initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality. 
  • Facilitate scrum meetings including daily stand-up meetings. 
  • Provide stakeholders with visibility and updates on key initiatives. 
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers. 
  • Clarify and drive program commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability and communication by facilitating meetings with key stakeholders. 
  • Support aftermarket proposals for legacy military hardware requiring SAP updates including routings and labor and test readiness. 
  • Lead MRO operational performance driving hardware deliveries to plan. Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to ensure priorities and programs are aligned with short- and long-term business objectives. 
  • Coordinate the preparation of operating budgets and manufacturing plans.
  • Track and manage the operational costs and performance of the program. 
  • Collaborate with and guide processes in delivering best-in-class experiences. 
  • Define and keep up-to-date process documentation. 
  • Knows and drives adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for MRO operational team.  
  • Partners with Continuous Improvement (CI) team in development of new SOPs and modifications to existing SOPs 
  • Point out connections and reconcile possible collisions between different MRO priorities, deliveries, and resources. 
  • Support implementation and management of technology solutions and tools to support Operations' evolving needs. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in leading a complex team and leading multiple programs. 
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and program management capabilities. 
  • 10 + years of work experience, preferably 5 + years in MRO Operations and/or Program/Project Management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, build consensus, and facilitate problem-solving and collaboration amongst cross functional teams. 
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making skills. 
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with a high capacity for work output. 
  • Prioritization abilities. 
  • Strict attention to detail and an eye for continuous improvement. 
  • Management: Ability to coordinate and administer programs, activities and protocols. Ability to manage resources, monitor activities and assess environmental risk, safety, and quality control associated with the program.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated skills and abilities needed to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $88,000-164,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
