Job description

At CTS, we put quality, customer experience, and innovation at the center of everything we do. We're looking for a strategic, customer-focused Business Development Manager to lead growth within an assigned business segment.
Reporting to the Site General Manager, this role owns commercial strategy, sales execution, and customer relationships- while building and leading a high-performing sales team.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop and execute sales and market strategies to achieve short and long-term revenue goals.
  • Identify new markets, applications, and growth opportunities through ongoing industry and customer analysis.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the sales team (Sales Engineers, Inside Sales, etc.)
  • Manage key new and existing customer relationships and establish long-term agreements.
  • Oversee quotations, pricing strategy, margins, and commercial terms.
  • Track sales performance against forecasts and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Promote CTS technologies and capabilities through customer visits, trade shows, and targeted marketing efforts.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, quality, and inside sales to resolve issues and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics impacting the business segment.
  • Travel extensively to customer locations (~50%).
About You
Required
  • 18+ years of age and ability to pass background amp; drug screening
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • 5+ years of sales and marketing experience (manufacturing or industrial services preferred), or
  • 10+ years of sales experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Thermal spray or surface engineering experience strongly preferred
