Job description

The Manager of Workforce Development Project will report to the Vice President of Talent and Culture and will lead our strategic initiatives in talent acquisition and development. The position will oversee our management development program, rotational placements, and forge partnerships with educational and community organizations to cultivate a robust talent pipeline. Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with educational institutions, economic development entities, and workforce agencies to align and execute collaborative strategies benefiting Beacon's talent pipeline and promoting DEIB initiatives.
  • Program Evaluation: Evaluate workforce development initiatives with key metrics and scorecards to measure outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Gather insights from leadership teams and stakeholders to prioritize workforce and talent needs, leveraging data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct internal and external labor market analysis to assess talent demand and skills requirements, translating data into actionable workforce strategies.
  • Performance Measurement: Utilize analytics and key metrics to assess the effectiveness of programs and targeted strategies, continuously optimizing initiatives for maximum impact while fostering a culture of belonging.
  • Partnership Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact to coordinate training programs, internships, job shadowing, and other opportunities with external partners, leveraging grants and incentives where applicable.
  • Database Management: Develop and manage a partner database using Beacon's CRM and other channels, facilitating regular communication on program updates and partnership opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Adapt to a rapidly changing environment by proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions to enhance workforce development efforts. Participate in workforce planning initiatives.

Essential Duties Include:
  • Oversite, execution, and evaluation of programming such as: Beacon Pathways, Beacon Scholars, Beacon Administrative Fellowship.
  • Providing leadership and support to Beacon Administrative Fellows; selection, orienting/training, developing job design and standards of performance, evaluating performance.
  • Collaborate with preceptors, leaders, and providers to manage student experiences and recruitment, ensuring opportunities are inclusive and accessible to all.
  • Coordinate student rotation and internship placements, ensuring compliance with DEIB principles and fostering a culture of belonging.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions and healthcare training programs, promoting diversity and equity in talent pipelines.
  • Represent Beacon at job fairs, community events, and recruitment-related activities, championing DEIB initiatives.
  • Assist in business strategy through industry research and forecasting, with a focus on promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Lead, direct, and implement strategic workforce development efforts to grow and retain talent while advancing DEIB objectives.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred. 7-10+ years of progressively responsible experience in strategic workforce development, talent management, or community outreach, with 3-5 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills at the organizational level, with a demonstrated commitment to DEIB principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
  • Experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, social media, ATS management, and onboarding, with a focus on promoting diversity and inclusion.
