Job description

CT Technologist

Our client, a healthcare company, is looking for a CT Technologist for their Royal Oak, MI location. Responsibilities include verifying patient identification and physician order, providing procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam, acquiring an accurate patient history and documenting in the medical record, performing CT and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods for patient's physical ability and/or limitations, placing IV's as required for injection of contrast media, proficiently operating CT imaging equipment and performing necessary quality control and quality assurance testing, monitoring patients during procedures to ensure patient safety, ensuring STAT requests are relayed to radiologists in a timely manner, ensuring equipment is wiped down between patients and exam room is clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies, accurately and efficiently using hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules and sending information to PACS, and using effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participating with medical staff, management, technical and support staff.

Requirements include required certifications: ARRT - CT; BLS.
