The Program Coordinator position is necessary to ensure the effective administration and coordination of project LS25410, a multiinstitutional, grantfunded initiative involving faculty, extension personnel and agricultural producers across multiple states and U.S.A Caribbean territory. The project aims to assess how cultural understanding influences the ways agricultural producers cope with disasters. The position provides essential support for organizing project activities, facilitating communication among internal and external stakeholders, monitoring timelines and deliverables, and assisting with required reporting and outreach. Given the scope, complexity, and collaborative nature of the project, a dedicated halftime Program Coordinator is critical to maintaining operational efficiency, supporting the principal investigator and project team, and ensuring successful execution and compliance with grant requirements. The grant end date for this position is 3/31/2027.

This position is funded by a grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding.

The salary isdeterminedin accordance withthe University's compensation structure and will becommensuratewith the candidates' education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.


Responsibilities:

  • Organization: Organize daily activities related to the project and partnerships based on the project goal. Assist with maintaining timelines, deliverables, reports and resource allocation, to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet defined goals. Responds to general and complex questions and complaints regarding departments or agents.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between project partners and stakeholders. Facilitate open and clear communication channels to ensure that the project objectives are met.
  • Presentation: Assist with preparing and developing presentations to project team and external stakeholders to effectively communicate project status findings, and outcomes/impacts of partnered projects. Prepare quarterly and annual progress reports as needed. Work with the project team to establish, maintain and promote social media presence of the project to increase visibility both within, and external to, the University.
  • Research Scholarship: Work with the research team to develop scholarly manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Urban Planning, Sociology or related field.
  • Two years of related experience.
