WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • The Project Coordinator supports the Project Manager with the day-to-day coordination, tracking, documentation, and follow-up required to keep projects moving properly.
  • Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing shop drawings, maintaining project logs, tracking open items, following up on outstanding information, organizing project files, supporting communication, and helping ensure critical details are not overlooked.
  • The Project Coordinator helps keep project information organized, up to date, and easily accessible, including shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, material releases, shop fabrication and site installation packages, change orders, deliveries, billing support, and close-out documentation.
  • Monitor project progress through to completion, including participation in internal post-project reviews.
  • Ensure prompt, professional, and courteous responses to customer needs and inquiries.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment across departments to support consistent communication and effective resource allocation.
  • A strong Project Coordinator helps prevent common project challenges such as missed approvals, delayed material releases, poor document control, lost change order documentation, delayed close-out packages, and communication gaps.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Post-secondary education in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in project coordination/management, preferably in construction projects
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD and ability to create, review, and modify complex drawings, designs, and models
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Strong customer service skills and professional communication
  • Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
  • High level attention to detail is required
  • Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Ability to work as a part of a cross-functional team and independently with excellent personal time management skills
  • Ability to manage ordering, billing, and change orders
