Job description

Associate Director, Program Management – Secure Tactical Communications

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA – Onsite

This role leads a cross‑functional team responsible for the rapid development, certification, and production ramp of critical capabilities that protect data. The Associate Director will serve as the primary program owner, establishing milestones, resolving technical and execution challenges, and ensuring successful delivery of the capability, which has the potential to grow to over $1B in sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full life‑cycle program development and critical execution activities.
  • Lead a cross‑functional team engaging with U.S. Government and related customers to deliver on commitments.
  • Assume profit and loss responsibility for both internally and externally funded efforts.
  • Manage the lifecycle, cost, schedule, and performance of large and/or complex programs.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.
Qualifications – Must Have
  • University degree with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Experience leading development programs and solving complex challenges.
  • Experience working with U.S. Department of War (DoW) customers.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Cedar Rapids, IA.
Qualifications – Preferred
  • Experience briefing senior leadership and external customers.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams to meet customer commitments and delight customers.
  • Experience working in a high‑stakes environment with an accelerated development schedule.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
