Job Title: Cardiovascular Operating Room  RN
Facility/Unit: Cardiothoracic Operating Room
Shift: Variable Day Shift
Hours: 10 Hours (9.5 working hours)
Schedule: 0630–1630 or 0700–1700 | 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $66/hr
Type: Contract (Travel/Local Accepted)


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse to support a high-acuity surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong intraoperative experience and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced OR environment caring for adult cardiac patients.


Responsibilities
  • Provide intraoperative nursing care for cardiothoracic procedures

  • Maintain sterile field and ensure OR safety standards

  • Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team

  • Document care accurately in EPIC

  • Support medication management using Omnicell

  • Float as needed based on census


Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year CTOR/OR nursing experience

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s degree minimum)

  • Active New York RN license required

  • ACLS and BLS required

  • Ability to work variable day shifts

  • Strong adult cardiac surgery experience preferred
