Job Overview
Georgetown Law's Center for Innovations in Community Safety (CICS)seeks a Senior Program Associate (SPA) to advance the programmatic activities of CICS. The primary responsibility of the Senior Program Associate is to work collaboratively with CICS staff, faculty directors, University colleagues, and community partners to conceive of, develop, execute, and manage a portfolio of complex projects within one or more of CICS's priority program areas, which are currently: Community Safety Initiatives, and Democratic Policing.
Depending on need, the SPA's project portfolio may include operational innovations and support, management of relationships with key partners, personnel management, communications, training and facilitation, and/or policy development.
Work Interactions
This position reports to the Executive Director of CICS. Will also include close coordination and collaboration with GU/GULC's officers of Financial Affairs, Human Resources, Development, Communications, IST, Events, General Counsel, and the office of Centers & Institutes.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree and 3-5 years of experience (including academic) working in project or program management, with a preference for experience working in criminal legal system reform, police reform, violence prevention, first response, or other related fields
  • A demonstrated commitment to reducing the harms of the criminal legal system
  • Exemplary collaborative capacity
  • Excellent planning, organizational, creative and critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage a significant workload
  • A demonstrated commitment to systemic and interpersonal anti-oppression, especially anti-racism
  • Some travel will be required.

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$54,616.00 - $100,493.33
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
