About the job

The Alfa Laval Career Pathways Program is designed to launch recent college graduates into a dynamic, 10-month development experience that prepares participants for long-term success within a global organization. Through immersive learning, hands-on assignments, and exposure to multiple business functions, participants will gain valuable experience across Alfa Laval's products, industries, and divisions while building a strong professional network.

This program serves as a foundation for future career growth by providing participants with broad business exposure, practical experience, and development opportunities alongside experienced professionals. Participants will collaborate across teams, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain insight into how Alfa Laval delivers innovative solutions to customers around the world.

Success in this program requires curiosity, adaptability, collaboration, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for individuals who are eager to develop both technical and business skills while making a positive impact on our customers, colleagues, and communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates interested in engineering, business, operations, sales, service, project management, product management, or other technical and commercial career paths.

Candidates must be willing to relocate to one of Alfa Laval's U.S. locations, including Houston, TX; Greenwood, IN; Kenosha, WI; Warminster, PA; or Richmond, VA, upon successful completion of the program. The Career Pathways Program cohort is scheduled to begin in August 2027.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Learn Alfa Laval products, technologies, markets, customers, and business operations across all divisions, Food & Pharma, Water & Wastewater, Energy, and Ocean.

  • Participate in structured training and development activities designed to build technical, commercial, and operational knowledge.

  • Collaborate with peers and leaders on cross-functional projects that support business objectives and professional growth.

  • Develop an understanding of how various functions work together to deliver value to customers.

  • Build relationships with teams across engineering, sales, service, operations, finance, supply chain, and other key business areas.

  • Apply problem-solving skills and contribute new ideas to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Gain exposure to customer-focused solutions and the industries Alfa Laval serves.

  • Upon successful completion of the program, transition into a full-time role.

What you know:

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or technical field and:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 cumulative

  • Curiosity and a drive to share new ideas

  • Strong technical acumen and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to interpret technical data from multiple sources

  • Proven customer service orientation and communication skills

  • Team player mindset

  • Knowledge of heat transfer, rotating equipment, or fluid separation/filtration is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally; Estimated travel during program is up to 50%

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The base salary for this role is typically $77,000, including a sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
