Radiologic Technologist

At the highest level, must have an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and committed effort to perform their job in an ethical and proper manner. This role will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, to support accurate medical diagnosis and treatment, ensuring patient safety, proper imaging techniques, and adherence to clinical and radiation safety standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality, diagnostic images
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety and protection standards
  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
  • Review images for clarity and accuracy prior to submission for interpretation
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to support patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
  • Follow all regulatory, safety, and infection control guidelines
Other Principal Duties:
  • Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.
Education, Experience and Special Skills Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience as a Radiology Technician or in a diagnostic imaging role
  • Active Radiologic Technologist certification (ARRT) and current State of Florida Radiologic Technologist license in good standing required
  • Active Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Suite which includes Word, Excel, etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.
  • The ability to make decisions.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal with high pressure
  • Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and overtime and weekends as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours or on weekends
  • Must have a valid active and clear Driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a level 2 background screening.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Demonstrates the technical safety expertise, coaching ability, and passion for the role
