Job description

Join NASWAlaska as our Program & Education Associate and help deliver meaningful continuing education and networking opportunities for social workers across the state. Working with the Executive Director and chapter volunteers, you’ll coordinate online and inperson trainings, manage registrations and CE processing, support other chapter programs and committees, and help make events run smoothly. This parttime (19 hrs/wk), mostly remote role includes occasional instate travel. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Plan and manage logistics for CE events, webinars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Administer registrations, send confirmations, and maintain clear participant communications.
  • Track attendance and issue CE certificates and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with speakers, collect session materials, and support program setup.
  • Assist with the communication and distribution of event-related content, including updates on the Chapter website, email communications, and social media platforms.
  • Gather participant feedback and support program evaluation efforts.
  • Coordinate accessibility and accommodation requests to ensure inclusive access.
  • Support sponsor/exhibitor logistics when relevant.
  • Act as staff contact for volunteer committees and help align programs with chapter priorities.
  • Provide programmatic and administrative support to other chapter programs and committees as needed. 

Ideal Candidates:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in operational or program administration, event management, or continuing education support.
  • Organized, reliable, and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable working independently and as part of a small team.
  • Collaborative, respectful, and experienced working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience or familiarity with social work is an advantage. 

Compensation: 

$25/hour, up to 19 hours per week. Flexible hours; primarily remote with occasional travel.
