Position Purpose:
The Loyalty Program Analytics team conducts advanced modeling and analytics of customer data in order to provide insights to THD's senior leaders to support strategic decisions with actionable insights about THD's customers. The Sr. Analyst - Loyalty Program Analytics is responsible for supporting data analysis, insights derivation, and strategy enablement across our THD Loyalty programs. This position uses advanced statistical, econometric, and quantitative analysis techniques to develop in-depth understanding of THD's customers. This position also translates analysis outcomes into meaningful insights for a broad audience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 15% Prepare clear and concise reports, charts, tables and presentations to support business decisions
  • 10% Work across the organization and leverage cross functional teams to provide
  • expert analytical support
  • 20% Conduct thorough analyses to develop / validate customer segmentations, develop and compute customer value metrics and support ad-hoc requests for data extraction, modeling and analysis
  • 20% Conduct analyses to understand the impact of potential business decisions on customer spend and profitability
  • 10% Interpret statistical and analytical results and make suggestions for modeling

  • 15% Analyze transaction data to identify purchase triggers and indicators for future value customers in support of predictive / forward looking marketing campaigns

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • No travel required

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the technical leadership of a project work team: may select team members and assess capabilities, provide technical training, provide information necessary to meet work, project or program objectives, evaluate program or project performance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a STEM field or equivalent
  • Previous retail experience strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills at all levels; ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data using advanced statistical, econometric and quantitative analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of quantitative theories and techniques and their role in a business context
  • Prior experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau
  • Proficient with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Skilled in translating business questions / problems into analytical models

Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
