Job description

Monday-Friday Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY:

Ensure Assisted Living residents receive the appropriate medications (as ordered) at the appropriate times and within the scope of responsibilities of the medication aide as defined by the State of Texas..

Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, family members and support agencies.

May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations or stay on property during inclement weather, Example: Hurricanes.

Report and document resident's refusal of treatments or medications to the charge Nurse and the Wellness Director.

Order medications in a timely manner.

Report any incidents or concerns to the charge Nurse and the Wellness Director.

*Other duties as assigned.*

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

This individual will possess the following:

 Must be a licensed Certified Medication Aide having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State.

  • Must be flexible
  • Must willingly demonstrate the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Must demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter with job duties assigned
  • Experience using Point Click Care
  • Have at least 1 year of Assisted Living experience preferred
