ASES Program Aide (Part-Time School Year Position)

Sonoma County Family YMCA | $18.21-$19.21 per hour| Locations in Rohnert Park

Are you passionate about supporting youth and creating engaging learning experiences? The Sonoma County Family YMCA is seeking enthusiastic, dependable, and caring individuals to join our team as ASES Program Aides in our After School Education & Safety (ASES) program.

This is a part-time school year position serving elementary students through academic enrichment, recreation, and youth development activities. We\'re especially interested in candidates who are available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, as these are the core operating hours of our programs.

What You\'ll Do

As an ASES Program Aide, you\'ll help create a safe, engaging, and supportive after-school environment by:

  • Assisting students with academic enrichment and tutoring activities
  • Reinforcing classroom instruction in subjects such as language arts, math, science, history, social science, and computer skills
  • Supporting the implementation of lesson plans and enrichment activities
  • Assisting with arts, nutrition, physical activity, and other educational programming
  • Supervising children throughout the program and ensuring their health and safety
  • Helping maintain classroom materials and instructional equipment
  • Building positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and YMCA team members
  • Supporting special events and program activities
  • Assisting with attendance tracking and ensuring program policies and procedures are followed
  • Serving as a positive role model who reflects YMCA values every day

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • CPR and First Aid certification required within 90 days of employment
  • Ability to successfully complete DOJ and FBI background clearance, including sex offender screening
  • Ability to participate in community events representing YMCA ASES programs as needed
