Job description

Eye Mountain Care is committed to providing compassionate, empathetic, and high-quality care to clients and their loved ones. We are seeking dedicated Home Health Aides (HHAs) who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
     
Provide personal care assistance: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene support.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including walking and safe use of mobility devices.
  • Perform light housekeeping: laundry, vacuuming, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe home environment.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in activities and conversation.
  • Assist with medication reminders (as directed by family or nurse).
  • Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings.
  • Monitor and report changes in client’s condition to supervisors promptly.
  • Follow client’s individualized care plan under the direction of a registered nurse or administrator.
  • Comply with all AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) and Florida state regulations for home health aides.

Requirements (State of Florida & Company Policy):

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Completion of at least 40 hours of Home Health Aide training OR hold a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license recognized in Florida.
    • If you do not currently have the 40-hour HHA training, Eye Mountain Care will provide training for qualified candidates.
    • Trainees are expected to work with Eye Mountain Care for a minimum of 6 months during training and commit to at least 1 year of employment upon becoming a certified HHA.
      Current Level 2 Background Screening (as required by Florida law).
  • Valid CPR certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross preferred).
  • Proof of negative TB test or chest X-ray.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and transfer clients safely (up to 50 lbs).
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and able to travel throughout Tampa & Odessa areas.

  • Prior experience in home health, assisted living, or caregiving.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

We are looking for a Home Health Aide to join our team! You will directly work with patients, following a one-on-one care plan in patient homes. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve.
