Americare Senior Living is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Dietary Service Aide to assist with the preparation and service of meals for residents, family members, visitors, and staff in our skilled nursing community. This role supports a home-like, person-centered dining experience while helping maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe dietary environment.


Summary

The Dietary Service Aide assists the dietary team with meal preparation, service, and sanitation while following dietary guidelines, health regulations, and Americare's standards of care. This role plays an important part in resident satisfaction, safety, and daily quality of life.


This role may also be known as:

Dietary Service Aide, Dietary Aide, Food Service Aide, Nutrition Services Aide, or Kitchen Aide.


What You'll Do
  • Assist with accurate preparation and service of meals to residents, visitors, and staff
  • Support person-centered dining by creating a welcoming, home-like environment
  • Work collaboratively with other dietary team members
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas
  • Follow food safety, infection control, and dietary guidelines
  • Assist with special meals, nourishments, and activities as needed
  • Adhere to Americare's Mission, Vision, Hometown Hospitality, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. values
What You BringQualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers
  • Ability to follow supervisor instructions in a safe and efficient manner
  • Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and resident-centered care
  • Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations
Physical Demands
  • Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequently
  • Lift or carry up to 25 lbs.; push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Reach, balance, kneel, stoop, and bend as needed
Safety Requirements
