Role Description:
To serve as an Elementary Aide at one of the Extended School Program locations working with the Site Coordinator, students, and families to mentor, guide, develop positive relationships with, and give care to students in the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :_ *_Other duties may be assigned. *
  • Assist in classroom instruction-both academic and enrichment.
  • Check students in and out of the program each day, noting exact times.
  • Assists in tutoring students, either in a group or individually.
  • Assists Site Coordinator and Teachers in preparation of materials.
  • Assists in enforcing and upholding school regulations.
  • Assists and suggests learning activities that can enhance learning.
  • Keeps a close working relationship with the Site Coordinator and Teachers.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to students, site coordinator, teachers, parents, and community partners.
