About Us:
Chesapeake Treatment Center, a 29-bed residential treatment center for adolescent and young adult males located in Parkville, MD (near Towson) has an immediate opening for a PRN (as needed) Dietary Aide. Chesapeake Treatment Center Inc., provides a comprehensive continuum of treatment for adolescents and young adults that experience complex mental health, sexualized behaviors, trauma, substance abuse, gang and other related issues. The primary goal of the program is to support each youth with changing unhealthy thinking and poor decision making to more adaptive and pro-social behaviors.Our programs are accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

Responsibilities:
The overall responsibility of the Dietary Aide for Chesapeake Treatment Center is food pick-up, delivery; and service, as well as the cleanliness of the dining and food storage areas.
  • Prepare simple food items like snacks, beverages, and side dishes.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen workstations, dishes, utensils, and dining areas.
  • Ensure safe food handling by monitoring food temperatures and checking expiration dates.
  • Assist residents in the dining room with a friendly and patient attitude.
  • Report feedback or eating difficulties observed in residents to the supervisor or nursing staff.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food Handler Certificate, Food Manager or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
  • Basic knowledge of sanitation, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 20-50 pounds.
  • Strong communication skills to interact warmly with elderly or vulnerable residents.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Ability to work two days out of a month on the weekends.
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Experience working with emotionally disturbed adolescents/young adults preferred
