Job description


The Personal Care Assistant/Home health Aide at Always Best Care Senior Services in Albuquerque, New Mexico is an exciting and rewarding position. As a Personal Care Assistant or HHA, you will be responsible for providing individualized care and support to senior clients in their homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors and their families. We offer a free in-house Home Health Aide certification program that consists of 59 on-line hours, 16 field training hours and a one hour in office test. When completed we offer the same pay as a CNA at $17/hr. We build a schedule around your availability when you are ready to go into the field and will work with you to be able to complete the certification. 

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication reminders.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding, if needed.
- Complete light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and dishes.
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and coworkers.
- Document services provided and any changes or concerns in the client's condition.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of personal care and hygiene.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
