Position Description:

Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

  • Teach medical students and residents.

  • Provide clinic/outpatient care to patients.

  • Engage in clinical research.

  • Supervise resident physicians in outpatient psychiatry clinic.

  • Serve as consultation liaison in general hospital.

  • Perform bedside teaching and engage in other administrative duties.

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree ; will accept equivalent foreign degree with ECFMG Certificate

  • License: Texas Medical Board Physician License.

  • Certification: Psychiatry Certificate from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

  • Completion of a four (4) year Residency Program in Psychiatry
