Job Title: Assistant Professor of Biology

Location: Talladega College

Department: Athletic

Position Type: Full-time

Reports to: Dean of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

Talladega College is seeking an Assistant Professor to teach Biology courses in the Biology program. This is a tenure-track position reporting to the Department Chair and is slated to begin in fall 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and research.
  • Teaching responsibilities to include innovative and engaging use of technology in the classroom.
  • Establish a competitive and productive research program that provides opportunities and mentoring for undergraduate research.
  • Compete for extramural grant support.
  • Assist students in identifying and applying for research internships, fellowships and acceptance to graduate and professional schools.
  • Develop research collaborations with colleagues at Talladega College and other institutions.
  • Collaborate with teaching faculty to incorporate research in courses.
  • Serve on division and college committees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
