Description
Position purpose
Teach a college level laboratory course which includes the topics: Linux Operating System and Robot Operating System (ROS). Be able to program in C++, Python and other current robotic programming languages with high proficiency and familiar with robot and UAV hardware and firmware setup. Be able to develop software to control multiple robots using SLAM algorithm (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping).
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Functions
  • Teach robotic laboratory courses in topics as described above
  • Prepare lecture materials and lab work as described in Vaughn College catalog
  • Ability to perform course assessment as required

Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • Must have a BS degree in Mechatronic Engineering with excellent programming skills in Linux and ROS, Master candidate preferred

Work environment and physical functions
  • This position is located in a classroom/ office environment. Generally, an employee needs to be able to sit, stand, and navigate within the office area. The office equipment either individually used or shared with a department is the responsibility of all employees.

The compensation rate for this position is expected to be:$900 per lecture hour ($925 per lecture hour if holding a PhD)$625 per lab hour.
